New oil blend fights fat

Here's a BBC article about a just-published study of a blend of cooking oils that, allegedly, is not absorbed by the body like normal oils. No good details on what the blend is, other than that it has coconut oil and other tropical oils.

Cell phone accidents

I was driving home from work yesterday and passed a guy in a Lexus who was holding a cellphone to his ear with one hand and gesticulating madly with the other as he spoke. Got me to wondering: does the incidence of cell phone-related accidents correspond to the way people talk? Some people can't utter a sentence without waving their hands around, some never let their fingers budge even when they're shouting. I suspect the latter group is probably a lot safer driving while on the phone.

When I was getting to the end of my first diet a few years back, someone asked me, "How did you lose all that weight?" My answer, "Eat less," wasn't really what she was hoping to hear, but it works! Here's what I'm doing this time around.
